For students testing with Alphonso at campus recruiting fairs in India this week, here are sample test questions and group discussion topics:

Write a pseudo code to solve the following challenges. An example of a pseudo code that reads two numbers and shows the product will be as follows:
Read num1 , num2
Set multi to num1*num2
Print multi”

1) Input should be time in 24 hrs format. The output should give the acute angle between the hour and minute needle of a wall clock that shows the input time. (For e.g. if input = 09:00, then output will be 45 degrees)

2) Input should be a list of numbers. The pseudo code should sort in descending order the list/array without using an intermediate variable. (for e.g. if input = 3,7,13 then output will be 13, 7, 3)

In this odd man out series, find the odd man out:
125, 123, 120, 115, 108, 101, 84
a) 125
b) 115
c) 101
d) 84
e) None of these

Darwin has 6 kinds of fruits in infinite amounts and has an infinite number of identical
boxes to store them in as well. He can put at most 15 and at least 10 fruits in a box.
Only one kind of fruit was put in a box and not more than 5 boxes can contain the same
number of fruits. The maximum number of fruits that he can put in the boxes are:

a) 325
b) 75
c) 375
d) 65
e) None of these

A milkman purchases 10 litres of milk at Rs.7 per litre and forms a mixture by
adding water so that the mixture constitutes 16.66% of water. Later on he divided
the mixture into two vessels, A & B, and added some freely available water to vessel B
so that the ratio of milk to water is 2:1. He then sold the new mixture B at the cost
price of milk and the old mixture A at double the cost price of milk. What is his total
profit percentage?

a) 34%
b) 64%
c) 68%
d) 24%
e) None of these

A lift starts at the basement with 10 people (6 men and 4 women, excluding the
operator) and all get out by the time lift reaches 5th floor. Find the number of ways
in which the operator could have perceived the people leaving the lift if all men and
all women look alike to the operator?

a) 1000
b) 1001
c) 1002
d) 9999
e) 1003

list=l = [1, 6, 3, 10, 0, 2, 5, 9, 12]
for i in range (0,6) : (Hint: i will take value 0 to 5 including both)
if l[i] > l[i+1] :
a=l [i]
l [i] =l [i+1]
l [i+1] =a
print l

What will be final sequence of numbers in the list for above pseudo code?
a) list = [1, 3, 6, 0, 2, 5, 10, 9, 12]
b) list = [1, 3, 6, 0,10, 2, 5, 9, 12]
c) list= [1, 3, 6, 2, 0, 10, 5, 9, 12]
d) list = [1, 3, 6, 0, 10, 2, 5, 9, 12]
e) list = [0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10,12]
