U.S. Department of Commerce Issues Privacy Shield Certification to TV Data Company Alphonso

Verifies Alphonso’s Strict Compliance with Privacy Best Practices

TV data company Alphonso announced today that it has been Privacy Shield-certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Privacy Shield provides a framework that allows companies to transfer data to and from the European Union in full compliance with the EU’s newly revised General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). To become certified, companies must demonstrate that they have all of the policies and practices in place to be fully compliant with GDPR. At the time of its certification, Alphonso is the only company offering TV-to-digital retargeting or real-time TV ad analytics to be granted Privacy Shield certification.
