Senior Manager: PR & Content

We are looking for someone comfortable wearing multiple hats: both as a skilled public relations expert and a content creator, to join our growing marketing organization. You will drive Alphonso’s corporate communications practice, encompassing defining a holistic public relations strategy, writing news releases and contributed articles, working with executive and product teams to articulate product and company messages, securing regular news coverage for our company and products, and amplifying coverage across various Alphonso marketing channels. In collaboration with our product, data analytics and research teams, you will create all kinds of content like case studies and industry trend reports, and promote them through various channels, both owned and earned.

You will join one of the fastest-growing companies at the intersection of technology, big data, AI and entertainment. You think creatively about securing coverage, breaking through the noise, and evangelizing technology. You are ideally also eager to work across other aspects of marketing such as product marketing and marketing communications, to help enable our field sales force and create content and assets used across various company initiatives.

This role reports to the CMO.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Three to five years agency or in-house PR experience ideally in advertising (TV and digital), broadcasting and/or technology
  • Excellent writing skills (samples required)
  • Proven experience in building company and executive profiles through periods of fast growth, to a broad set of constituents
  • Strong verbal communications for pitching stories, working with the press and industry analysts
  • Up-to-date contacts in business and technology press, ideally specializing in broadcast and advertising (TV and digital)
  • Ability to understand and interpret data to create stories that appeal to reporters across trades and vertical publications
  • Strong understanding of content marketing and matching content to target audiences to drive thought leadership
  • Multi-tasker: you will rely primarily on yourself and in-house colleagues to execute the program
  • Bonus: skills in company and product presentations, experience in marketing systems such as Marketo, Meltwater, etc.
