Vice President, Ad Sales

We’re recruiting a dynamic sales leader with excellent consultative sales experience and communication skills – to help lead the sales of our digital/social video and display ad products. Our customers are primarily ad agencies and national advertisers.

Knowledge of online media combined with your leadership, communication and analytical abilities helps shape our go-to-market strategy. Using your relationship-building skills, you understand and anticipate how decisions are made, persistently exploring and uncovering the business needs of Alphonso’s key clients and understand how our range of products can increase their business – and have the ability to teach, train and mentor our salespersons and support team.

Large Customer Sales: We partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build strong businesses and brands.
As a Digital sales leader for Alphonso, you’re responsible for helping shape sales strategies and customer priorities – identifying and closing new business opportunities through social selling, networking, marketing, referrals, lead databases and website mining in your region.

Alphonso sales leadership works hand-in-hand with our Product and Ad Support teams in order to provide best-in-class stewardship of our customers’ media plans. Stewardship includes fulfilling customer requests and making sure clients are up-to-date on any changes that may be happening within our digital industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and work collaboratively with our sales team members to drive growth with our new and existing customers
  • Ensure all of our partners are following Alphonso best practices in setting up and managing our shared customers’ campaigns
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analysis and recommendations that align with customer goals and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to pitch to clients
  • Develop and close new business and ad revenue
  • Meet with and present our digital/social video and display ad products to ad agencies and advertisers
  • Build and/or improve upon existing company customer relationships; by developing new initiatives and ad programs to advance our customers’ success and profit
  • Maintain high level of internal communications with Exec Leadership, Product and Ad Sales Support teams
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of ad programs and revenue streams
  • Research new ad technology and competitive information, sharing internally to provide our company a competitive advantage

Requirements

  • 4 Year University graduate
  • 7 years of Digital ad sales and leadership experience (publisher, programmatic, social or content). TV experience a plus.
  • Has a strong ability to prospect for customers via networking and cold call
  • Experience developing new business as a skilled negotiator and motivator
  • Strong organizational, written, presentation and communication skills
  • Track record of exceeding sales goals
  • Success in optimizing products and services based on client needs
  • Ability to troubleshoot potential issues and articulate problems with internal groups
  • Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, sales leads and internal stakeholders.
